A public statement concerning certain secret government demands and undisclosed compulsory actions.

A warrant canary is a public statement that an organization reviews and confirms on a regular schedule. It concerns specifically defined secret legal demands or compulsory actions that the organization may otherwise be prohibited from disclosing.

A missing, changed, or stale canary is not proof that any particular event occurred. Invisible-Internet will not publish or renew a statement it cannot truthfully verify.

For the confirmation period identified at the top of this page, Invisible-Internet, LLC states that it has not:

  • received a secret government demand compelling disclosure of customer content or nonpublic customer records;
  • been prohibited from disclosing the existence of such a demand;
  • been compelled to install monitoring, introduce a backdoor, weaken service security, or surrender encryption keys to facilitate customer surveillance;
  • been subjected to an undisclosed government search or seizure of systems under its control that held customer information; or
  • been compelled to make an undisclosed service change for the purpose of monitoring a customer.

This statement applies only to events known to or served directly upon Invisible-Internet, LLC. It does not make claims for upstream infrastructure, payment, network, domain, software, or other third-party providers.

Each active confirmation should be accompanied by a signed plain-text statement, the public verification-key fingerprint, and an archive of prior confirmations.
